The Translational Sciences department is seeking a highly motivated and creative scientist to assist with bioanalytical assay and biomarker development as well as contributing to modeling and simulation experiments. This work will support the advancement of multiple antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) and immuno-oncology biotherapeutics from late-stage research into clinical development. The successful candidate will have experience in standard and exploratory cell-based bioanalytical techniques that can be used to characterize the pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, biodistribution, and/or stability of antibody-based drugs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of cell-based assays, immunopurification techniques, and novel bioanalytical methods used to measure and characterize therapeutic drugs or novel drug-linker platforms in various biological matrices
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new and existing methods to characterize therapeutic drugs in in vitro and in vivo studies and models
  • Understand and characterize drug candidates by building target engagement, receptor occupancy, pharmacodynamic readouts, and other biomeasures that can be measured in pre-clinical and clinical environments using relevant techniques: flow cytometry, SPR, cell-based assays, LBA, etc.
  • Develop immunogenicity, biomarker and functional assays to support key projects and mechanism studies
  • Manage in-house, collaborative or CRO-based research to support multiple projects
  • Analyze, summarize, and present data in group meetings and contribute to discussions

Qualifications:

  • PhD degree in Molecular or Cellular Biology or related discipline or an MS degree with at least 3-years of relevant research/industry experience
  • Experience with standard immunoassays as well as flow cytometry, ECL, or other assay formats and techniques
  • Experience with bioanalytical principles and techniques (including assay development), tissue culture, and reagent generation is a plus
  • Experience with immunogenicity, specifically neutralizing antibody assays is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment and communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally
